Northern Grime Pioneer Bugzy Malone Album “B. Inspired” Is Out Now

On 17 August 2018, Manchester’s grime MC and sound pioneer – Bugzy Malone – launched his most anticipated album “B.Inspired”, released under his own label “B. Somebody Records”. This has definitely been a big win for Bugzy as it is very hard to make it so far in the music game by choosing to take an independent way.

Noisey, the famous American music documentary series, actually reffered to Bugzy as “One of the most successful independent British MC of his time”.

In a recent interview with Julie Adenuga, Bugzy touched on some very personal topics that allowed to show how much this body of work means to him and how authentic it is. A tempestuous childhood with the absence of a father made him appreciate his mom immensely and the struggles with poverty and having to make illicit moves to have money threw Bugzy into depression. He found comfort in music and boxing and after a lot of hard work and dedication, his efforts started being paid off.

“B.Inspired” is a 14 tracks album, coming across as a very honest body of work that can be seen as a message of inspiration to people fighting a similar battle to Bugzy’s. With features from Rag’N’Bone Man, Not3s, JP Cooper and more, the project is Bugzy’s best up to this date, with figures confirming he hit top 6 in UK music charts.

In celebration of his accomplishment, Bugzy also announced a “B. Inspired” UK Tour, making it one of the biggest headline tours by a grime artist.

Bugzy Malone is definitely a very important piece into forming Manchester’s grime sound and for helping opening doors for other artists that feel somehow left out of the London music scene. Bugzy recently confessed that a big number of well established fans is actually outside of his home city.
