Kojo Funds On Roaming Canning Town With Timberland

“Collaborating with Cityroam to talk about my journey has been enlightening for me. I can see how the struggles and experiences I went through motivated me to work harder and led me to where I am now. When I was younger I would see my music idols wearing Timberland, so for me, it feels like I’ve come full circle” – Kojo Funds

East London’s artist Kojo Funds has recently collaborated with Timberland for their latest creation – the Timberland Cityroam Alpine chukka , an ideal shoe for urban roaming, which perfectly fuses Timberland’s iconic field boot heritage with outdoor utility innovation.

The platinum selling rapper has been at the forefront of UK’s music scene, bringing a massive contribution especially to the Afro-swing sound. His music is an interesting mix of West African and Caribbean sounds with grime, road rap, hip hop, dancehall and pop. Kojo has had a busy year as he has recently announced the release of his first mixtape – “Golden Boy” and killed it with live performances at UK festivals and shows, including the most recent one at the Rated Awards.

Kojo Funds features in a new video collaborating with Timberland Cityroam, revisiting key locations of his upbringing in Canning Town, London, roaming the district and exploring his music roots.
