Ghetts Ghettsibition Interview With Akala

On 14 September, Ghetts launched one of the most anticipated album of the year: Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament. To celebrate the big day, Ghetts hosted an all-day event he called the “Ghettsibition”at Kachette in Shoreditch. Open to the public, the exhibition opened at 10am, showcasing the bespoke art for each track on his album, alongside memorabilia from across his career and a listening experience for fans. Fans were also able to attend an intimate Q&A about the album hosted by Akala.

Ghetts’s album is a masterpiece and a much needed listen in today’s society. In the interview, a very happy and motivated Ghetts brings up the reason for putting the album out now and the heartfelt message it sends,  and having mainly been motivated and inspired by the public’s reaction and energy as he started playing more in-depth songs.
