‘Chicken Shop Connoisseur’ Elijah Quashie’s New Channel 4 Show ‘Peng Life’

YouTube sensation Elijah Quashie, who shot to internet stardom by reviewing chicken shops around London on his channel ‘Pengest Munch’, has landed his own Channel 4 show ‘Peng Life’ which kicked off at the weekend.

To promote the show, Elijah, 25, from Tottenham, North London, appeared on Good Morning Britain (GMB) last week with his twin best mates and co-stars, Winston and Nelson.

‘Peng Life’ will consist of Elijah and his mates reviewing everything and anything from expensive cars and private jets to standard restaurants which he describes as ‘Streets VS Elite’ – ‘From the top end to the regular high street versions’. The show will also see a variety of celebrity guests including Winnie Harlow and Professor Green.

During the trio’s appearance on GMB, they were quizzed by hosts Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh to explain what ‘Peng’ means as well as tasting and scoring various donuts in a game of ‘Peng or Dead’.

‘Chicken Connoisseur’ Elijah was asked whether it was true that he got the idea for his YouTube channel after watching Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace, to which he replied: “That definitely had something to do with it, seeing him just chat.

“I was like ‘he’s blagging it here’.

“I don’t get the feeling that he knows what he’s talking about.”

Elijah’s highest viewed video to date has had over 4.3 million hits on YouTube.
